"Mantras" or "Shlokas" or Hymns
In the beginning, the Himalayan "Rishis" and "Yogis" heard psychic vibrations in deep meditative states. These are now known as "Mantras" which complement Yogic poses and prayers, psychic or "Pranic" healing, and which play in the higher levels of consciousness when "Yogis" are doing higher-level "Sadhanas" or spiritual practices.John says in the gospel: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Eventually, these Yogis (and Rishis) collected these "Mantras" into "Shlokas", which can be loosely translated as hymns. When certain Mantras are uttered, they create certain vibrations physically, mentally, and spiritually. The Shlokas here, which are in "Sanskrit", are recited with proper rhythm and pronunciation, by Brahmavid Sam Yogi. These Shlokas are also essential ingredients of "sadhakas" or spiritual-practitioners of "Bhakti Yoga" or Yoga of Devotion.
